Please make sure to check the opening hours again before you go as they can change and might be different on public holidays.<\/p>\n<p>General note: At many attractions tour guides will be there trying to sell you their services. In general, a guide isn\u2019t essential for most sights, unless you\u2019re looking for extra context. We never got one so far.<\/p>\n<p><!--Golconda Fort--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Golconda Fort<\/span> (daily 9am to 5pm) <\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>A massive hilltop fort with great views. You can explore it independently and easily spend hours wandering around. It\u2019s very beautiful and great for photography.<\/li>\n<li>Entrance fee (foreign visitors): \u20b9 300.<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s recommended to bring your own water and snacks, as amenities are limited. This 400-year-old monument is surrounded by markets and local street food. It can get busy and a little chaotic, so hang on to your stuff\u2014but it\u2019s still calmer than the market below.\n<\/li>\n<li>The view from the top of the monument is nice and gives you a great view of the busy market and streets below.<\/li>\n<li>Entrance fee (to climb up): \u20b9300 for foreign nationals.<\/li>\n<li>There are no restrooms inside Charminar.<\/li>\n<li>Charminar is at the same location as Laad Bazaar.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"list-image-container\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"list-image\" src=\"https:\/\/india.nadjafeldmann.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Charminar_1-scaled.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"list-image\" src=\"https:\/\/india.nadjafeldmann.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Charminar_2-scaled.jpg\"\/>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--Qutb Shahi Tombs--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Qutb Shahi Tombs<\/span> (daily 9:30 to 4:30pm)<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>A peaceful and historic necropolis where the rulers of the Qutb Shahi dynasty rest, surrounded by well-maintained green areas. You can spend 1-3 hours there. The tombs are well-suited for self-guided exploration. It is a 25 min walk to\/from Golconda Fort, so relatively close to it.<\/li>\n<li>The view from the top of the monument is nice and gives you a great view of the busy market and streets below.<\/li>\n<li>Entrance Fee (foreign visitors): \u20b9\u202f50.<\/li>\n<li>Note: mobile photography carries a small charge (around \u20b9\u202f50).<\/li>\n<li>Visitors can access restrooms within the complex.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!--Salar Jung Museum--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Salar Jung Museum<\/span> (daily 10am to 5pm)<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>A treasure chest of weird and wonderful things \u2014 swords, clocks, paintings, puppets, and much more. From a private collection with over 40,000 artifacts. If you have extra time, or want to look at curiosities from all over the world \u2013 this place is for you.<\/li>\n<li>Entrance Fee (foreign visitors): \u20b9\u202f500 + \u20b9\u202f50 for mobile use.<\/li>\n<li>Audio guides available. You can easily spend hours here. The musical clock is often highlighted as a must-see.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!--Birla Mandir--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Birla Mandir<\/span> (daily 7am to 12pm, 3pm to 9pm)<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>A stunning white marble temple perched on a hill overlooking the city. Make sure to be appropriately dressed for a temple, as you won\u2019t be able to enter otherwise.<\/li>\n<li>Entrance Fee: There is no entry fee.<\/li>\n<li>It can get quite crowded on weekends and holidays\/festivals.<\/li>\n<li>Visitors should be prepared for a little climb, as there are around 120\u2013140 stairs leading up to the temple.<\/li>\n<li>Photography is allowed around the temple grounds, but phones or cameras may be restricted inside the main sanctum, where the idols are. Please follow the rules on the signs.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>Markets<\/h1>\n<p><!--Laad Bazaar--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Laad Bazaar<\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>Known primarily for bangles, pearls, and traditional Hyderabadi jewelry, Laad Bazaar also offers a wide variety of items\u2014from fabrics and perfumes to footwear and souvenirs.<\/li>\n<li>This bustling market is located right next to Charminar. It can get quite crowded, so enjoy the lively atmosphere but keep your belongings close.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!--Shilparamam--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Shilparamam <\/span> (10:30am to 8pm daily)<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>Arts and crafts village in HiTech City for local handmade items.<\/li>\n<li>Besides shopping, Shilparamam has lots to explore. The Rural Museum offers a cool look at traditional village life with life-sized huts and craft displays. The Rock Museum features unique natural formations. You can also relax by the small lake and enjoy some boating.<\/li>\n<li>Entrance fee: \u20b9 60 (approximately\u202f0.90 CHF)<\/li>\n<li>Some reviews mention that items can be overpriced, and that many stalls might not be open early in the day.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!--Gudimalkapur--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Gudimalkapur Flower Market<\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>his market is your go-to spot for fresh flowers in large quantities. Arrive early in the morning for the freshest blooms and the lowest prices. Be prepared for narrow roads and limited parking. The market stays open all day, but if you prefer a more relaxed stroll, visiting in the afternoon is ideal.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!--Sultaan Bazaar--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Sultan Bazaar<\/span>(10am to 6 pm daily)<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>Sultan Bazar is known for affordable pre-loved books, traditional sarees, imitation jewelry, footwear, household items, and budget electronics\u2014all in one bustling market. The market lies between the commercial areas of Abids and Koti.<\/li>\n<li>Koti Market typically refers to the larger shopping area around the Koti bus station, which includes Sultan Bazar as part of it.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>Nature<\/h1>\n<p><!--KBR--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Kasu Brahmanandha Reddy National Park (KBR) <\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>A peaceful city escape with lots of green areas and a calmer atmosphere, where you\u2019ll almost always spot peacocks \u2014 sometimes even up close.<\/li>\n<li>Open during winter &#038; rainy seasons from 6:00\u201310:00 AM and 4:00\u20136:00 PM.<\/li>\n<li>Inner walking zone entrance fee: \u20b945 per adult (approx.\u202f0.42 CHF). The outer perimeter trails are free and appear to be accessible most of the day. Not all gates may be open at all times, so you might need to explore a bit. While access often extends beyond official park hours, it\u2019s not guaranteed.<\/li>\n<li>Inner walkway is around 4 km long, shaded, and equipped with water points, toilets, benches, and dustbins.<\/li>\n<li>Bags and cameras (especially DSLRs) are not allowed inside the inner park area; phones are generally tolerated.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!--Mrugavani--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Mrugavani National Park<\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>About a 15-minute drive from our venue.<\/li>\n<li>According to many Google reviews, it\u2019s less of a traditional national park and more like a small reserve with caged deer and a city viewpoint. It can also get quite crowded on weekends.<\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>Random<\/h1>\n<p><!--Ramoji Film City--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold; font-size:28px\">Ramoji Film City<\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>The world\u2019s largest film studio complex turned theme park\u2014spanning over 2,000 acres. It blends movie magic with rides, gardens, live shows, and iconic film sets like the Bahubali set and Filmi Duniya. Ideal for families and photography lovers.<\/li>\n<li>Here are two reviews to show the general opinion of it on reddit:\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list-letter\">\n<li>\u201cIf you have small kids. Then it will be definitely worth it for them. For adults if it&#8217;s the first time. Then maybe or maybe not. You get the basic tickets. Just take those. The additional comfort for the additional money is not worth it. All in all. Ramoji is a good one time visit if you are looking to spend some family time.
